Update on our Mallory

As you know, Mallory has been in her new home for several weeks now and is doing wonderfully! Her owners Mike, Nancy, and their daughter Stephanie are so happy that Mallory has come to live with them. From what I hear, she's pretty much in charge over there, too. :) She has two canine sisters, a yellow lab and a 10 lb. maltese; of course, she's the smallest of them all but definitely thinks she's the biggest. She is very much loved. Here a just a few recent pictures that were sent of our little girl. Mallory and Marina will be 15 weeks old tomorrow.

Flashback from the Past!

As I was going through some older photos, I came across this one of our little Maya when she was probably around 6 months or so. We had just come back from her first trip to the groomers, and I just had to share this with you all. Another reason being that Marina looks just so much like Maya but even cuter. To whoever adopts our little Marina, just know that she will be one beautiful dog! :)

14 Weeks Old (tomorrow)

I took these pictures today of our little girl. And yes, she's looking a little ragged, lol. I'll be sure to give her a bath real soon. :) She's growing up so fast, and sometimes she looks so much like her mother.

11 Weeks Old (Marina)

This was the very beginning of the week, her ears had already made an incredible improvement.

And here is Miss Marina today! :)

Mallory is visiting with her soon-to-be family, but I'll be sure to post pictures soon.

Marina's Ears

Some little Yorkie puppies' ears, like Marina's, take a little longer to stand. I had mentioned this to some breeder friends of mine and they suggested I help them out by shaving her ears down. Who knew that a little ear hair could weigh down those little ears so much!?! We did this the other day and I can already see (maybe I'm looking too closely) that they're starting to change. I think within the week, her ears will be standing upright as they should. Though I love those floppy ears, it'll only be a matter of time before they're no longer floppy. :( I bet she'll be even cuter with them standing though. I'll keep you guys updated! BTW, she will be 11 weeks this coming Monday. ;)

9 Weeks

Sorry I've been so far behind on posting updated photos (I effective dated the posting date to reflect the actual dates these photos were taken); things have been a little crazy lately and I haven't had much time for the computer these days. But I'm trying to get caught up now by posting a couple of weeks worth of photos. :)

First and foremost, please ignore the crazy lady in this photo. I thought this picture especially captured Mallory's sweet loveable nature. She just LOVES to be held. She would stay bundled up in her blankie forever if I let her. ;)

Marina- Sit & Down

So, I've recently started working with the girls one on one with basic commands. So far, they're doing great, though they are easily distracted. :) Here's Marina after just a few minutes of our first training "session". What a smart girl, she is!

8 Weeks Old

Here are just a few random pictures, in no particular order.

A little sweater I made for the girls out of a sock (I made several, actually). Mallory hates them, Marina tolerates them. ;)

Ready to Go Feb. 1st!

I just wanted to give a little update on how our little Marina is growing up. Mallory has been spoken for and will be going to live with her new family soon. We are excited for her, and even moreso because we know the family that is adopting her. This coming Monday, Marina will be 8 weeks old and ready to leave our home in just four more weeks. She is truly a wonderful puppy, so sweet, full of energy and spunk, loves to give kisses and cuddle, and she absolutely LOVES getting her tummy rubbed! Not a barker, I actually have yet to hear her bark. And when she plays, I rarely hear her growl; her sister was the complete opposite. I'm also very amazed at how well both of our girls have taken to potty pads. I would say they use the puppy pads at LEAST 85% of the time (of course we have about 7 pads throughout the living area, lol). Marina has her mother's good looks and I think she'll have a fuller coat as well, just like her daddy. She'll be one gorgeous little lady!

If you're interested in our little girl, all other details are listed on the sidebar in the About Me section of this blog. Feel free to e-mail for more information or call 361-249-4760.
